Did Change for a Penny Change Anything?
So, inquiring minds want to know:
Did the penny display happen, even in the midst of a horrible winter storm? Yes!
How'd it go? Wet!
Did the penny display break the Guinness Book of World Records? We don't know. We will get an official count from Brinks this week.
We will load pictures on the display tab of the website.
Thanks to the hundreds of people who have sent in pennies, to the dozens of volunteers who helped us move so many pennies and to the more than 100 people -- friends, supporters, penny collectors, mom, kids, groups and individuals -- who braved the dismal weather to see the display.
It was a dismal day for a dismal disease. But our spirits were bouyed by the interest and support.
ON TO 25.4 MILLION IN 2006!
